2nd Extrication Competion

Yes, its happening again. I wanted to get this out there early so I can start getting a car count. The Walker Township Fire Company will be hosting the second annual Extrication Competition on Saturday August 2nd, 2008.

I have already had one team confirming a return trip and inquirys from a few others. Last years event seemed to be a hit and everyone had a good time.

I have confirmations from Susquehanna Fire Equipment (Hurst) and Fire & Rescue Products (Amkus) that they will have demo trailers there, loaded and ready to use.

I will be contacting the companies that competed last year to see what changes they would like to see to make this even better.

Check out our extrication tab for last years rules.
There may be a few modifications to the scenarios depending on the input that I get from the other companies that competed, but the overall rules and registration will remain the same.

I can be reached by e-mail at
cmmiller16@embarqmail.com for a registration form or more info.

Thanks

Extrication Competition

We would like to congratulate the Dunnstown Fire Company for winning our first annual Extrication Competition. Three teams competed in the event with second place going to the Pleasant Gap Fire Company and third place going to Centre Hall Fire Company. Despite the heat, the teams agreed to work together in a demonstration for the spectators. Two full-size vans were used and the three teams comibined to make short work of the multiple vehicle extrication. Everyone had a great time and we look forward to seeing these same teams and more next year. Be sure to check out the photos of the competition in our gallery. Thanks to all who participated and helped out with this event.

2nd Annual Extrication Competition will be Saturday August 2nd!
